Mother Goose our 2020/21 Pantomime is cancelled.

“It is with very heavy hearts that the committee of St Andrew’s Pantomime Group has had to take the decision to cancel our 2020/21 panto, which would have been Mother Goose, due to covid-19.   Our priority is to ensure the safety of our members and audiences during the current pandemic and ongoing restrictions on indoor shows means that rehearsals, set-building and performing/attending productions is not viable at this time.   Our current plan is to perform the show in the 2021/22 season, so in Continue reading →

Pantomime Carol Service

  On Sunday the 8th December, Tim Boocock, the Minister at St Andrew’s in Beeston prepared a Carol Service with a difference. Not only was it created around a Pantomime theme but it also featured a retelling of the nativity from a woman’s perspective – well a man dressed as a woman, actually three men dressed as women to be precise. Memorial Concert for Alan Makinson

As many, if not all of you know, Alan Makinson, our long standing and much loved Musical Director, sadly passed away in January of 2017. It was a huge loss for the Group and, of course, even more so for his close-knit family. It has taken almost two years for Steve and Lisa to be able to organise a memorial concert in his name, which would serve as great testimony to his memory and a fund raiser for causes close to his heart.
