Pantomime Carol Service

On Sunday the 8th December, Tim Boocock, the Minister at St Andrew’s in Beeston prepared a Carol Service with a difference. Not only was it created around a Pantomime theme but it also featured a retelling of the nativity from a woman’s perspective – well a man dressed as a woman, actually three men dressed as women to be precise.

We learned that Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were of little practical use to a new born baby and its mother, and in fact the Wise Men would have lived up to their ‘Wise Men’ tag far more credibly if they had brought nappies, cream and nipple pads!

A fun time was had by all in a very substantial congregation numbers wise and as you can see many of whom entered into the spirit by wearing a panto costume!
